Good morning and welcome,
They say that a week is a long time in politics….they should try online school! Each day brings its challenges which are dealt with as best we can. We are all learning together and getting better at this. We are doing well.
Don’t forget enrolment to our school is closing on this Friday at 1pm….so if you know anybody that can enrol with one of the best schools around , let them know that they need to act fast!
I would like to bring the following items to your attention.
- A reminder that this is still school, even if it is online, so school rules apply. We expect only the best behaviour from our students because that is the only way we can give you the best teaching.
- School lunches will continue as school hampers over the next few weeks. These will be made up of non-perishable items which can be collected from the school next Wednesday. If you are interested in picking up a hamper please respond this morning to the survey which was sent out yesterday as we have to give numbers to the provider by close of business today.
- Good response to the call to get involved in our chess club. If you are interested in playing or learning chess please email email@example.com and we will make sure you are able to take part in the upcoming competition which is for all abilities.
- Finally the Christmas test results will be posted out to all homes today. Please read them carefully with your parents and follow the advice given in them to help you continue to improve as learners. We will be meeting with students to discuss their results next week.
And now we take a moment to read the reflection that Ms Keenan has shared with us.

“To laugh is to risk appearing a fool,
To reach out to another is to risk involvement,
To place your ideas and dreams
To love is to risk not being loved in return,
But risks must be taken because
The person who risks nothing, does nothing,
He may avoid suffering and sorrow,
Chained by his servitude he is a slave
Only a person who risks is free.”
