Lanesboro Community College will be raising the National flag the tricolour on International Workers Day this Friday May 1st. The organisation that commemorates the man who first flew the Irish tricolour,
The colours of our Flag are symbolic of the people of our Nation coming together – in this crisis, that has been demonstrated profoundly by all those who have worked selflessly to support vital services. The simple gesture of flying our national flag will be a small token of appreciation for those who have put their own lives at risk to help their fellow citizens.

School continues as normally as can be expected during these strange times.
Attendance is taken each morning and students receive an email outlining the plan for the day as well as some much needed words of inspiration from the school chaplain. Teachers are busy finishing off coursework and formulating end of year assessments which will take place on-line. The Student Council have been busy working on a questionairre regarding connectivity and will be sent out shortly to students. The school have also been in contact with students regarding wifi and laptops. Where any student is having difficulty they are encouraged to contact the school.
Online workouts with Global sensation Joe Wicks continue to be sent out and a large number of students are taking part. The fun run is also taking place after school with students recording their times and sending in to the school.
We will all be in super shape when we return to school !!!!
